Awesome post Amber....for me....sitting crosslegged on the couch watching Saturday morning cartoons. (Saturday cartoons were special because there were hardly any cartoons on any other day of the week), playing kickball till it was dark, sitting on the front porch when it was dark and talking to your friends and thinking "Wow I am staying up late" when actually it was only like 8:30 p.m. Playing monoply with your sisters under the big pine trees instead of playing play station inside the house, riding your bike on a Saturday afternoon to go to you friend's house (instead of parents shuttling children from friend to friend via the automobile), hearing my mom's pressure cooker making it's little rattling sound knowing that something yummy was coming out of it instead of doing the McDonald thing, collecting garbage pail kid cards, hearing the scratchy sounds of a record playing (it was Donny Osmond for me)...have a great day...see thinks still haven't changed a whole lot, (cartoons, kickball, food and music)
